Hello! I am Colleen Rector and I am so excited to be your student's teacher this year. This will be my first year teaching at Discovery, but my 11th year teaching. In addition to teaching 5th I have previously taught 4th grade. I received my degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska. During my career I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach in Nebraska, Mississippi, and with DoDEA in Iwakuni, Japan. I have always known I wanted to be a teacher and feel extremely lucky that I am able to teach and build connections with students each day.
