Hello! My name is Kelly Porter and I am so excited to be your student’s second grade teacher this year! This will be my ninth year teaching in SMUSD, and I have taught second, third, and fifth grade. I was born and raised in Encinitas and love living near the beach with my husband. Our family has grown as we just recently welcomed our baby girl in April! I received my bachelor's degree from UC Santa Barbara, and later attended San Diego State for my teaching credential and master's in teaching. Outside of school, I enjoy taking barre classes, cooking and baking, spending time with family, and traveling. I can't wait for a great year in second grade together!
