Reading & Math Intervention

Students who are experiencing academic difficulties in grade-level reading may be referred to Reading Intervention. Reading Intervention is designed to give students an extra dose of small-group reading instruction during the school day. They will receive 30 minutes of small group instruction, four days per week. During these groups, a specially trained reading instructor will focus on building fluency, reading comprehension skills, and overall reading strategies. They will also incorporate the state standards for reading comprehension and writing into their lessons. Students who attend reading intervention may move in and out depending on their instructional needs throughout the school year.
