Discovery’s 8th Annual Arts on the Green will be on Friday, May 19 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm! This is our biggest all school event during the school year. Arts on the Green is a school community event showcasing our amazing STEAM programs and our students. At the event there are Music Performances by each grade level, an Art Exhibit with every student represented, a Student Showcase, class created STEAM activity booths, a silent auction, and food! Volunteers
We are in need of family and community Volunteers for some areas at Arts on the Green! Any Discovery family members, community members, or previous students that are able to volunteer would be greatly appreciated. If you are able to volunteer at Arts on the Green, please use the Arts on the Green Volunteer Sign-Up Genius to signup for time.
Bake Sale
We will be having a Bake Sale at Arts on the Green on Friday, May 19th! We are in need of baked goods to be donated for this event. Please sign up on the Arts on the Green Bake Sale Signup Genius if you are able to buy or bake any treats for the bake sale. All baked goods can be left in the front office during the school day on 5/19.
Silent Auction
The Arts on the Green Silent Auction website will go live TODAY, May 15, at 8:00 am. The Arts on the Green auction includes many different bundles, gift certificates to local businesses, and our teacher auction items. We are excited to share that we have many more items in the auction this year than ever before. There is something for everyone!
The AOG Silent Auction will be open for online bidding from Monday, May 15 through Thursday, May 18. Online bidding closes on Thursday, May 18 at 11:45 pm and current bid sheets will be printed for the in-person Arts on the Green event. All final bids for auction items will take place in person at Arts on the Green on Friday, May 19. The Silent Auction will close for bidding Friday, May 19 at 8:00 pm. Participants do not need to be present to win. Winners will be contacted by Monday, May 22.
This year all Silent Auction bidders, both online and in-person at the event, will bid on items in the auction using a bid number. This is not a change in the online auction format as participants already used a bid number to bid on items, although it is a change in the in-person auction at Arts on the Green. The in-person auction bid sheets will only require bidders to write their bid number and bid amount. This should be easier for participants than writing their name, email address, and phone number each time they bid. If you plan on bidding in the silent auction in-person at the event, we recommend registering for your bid number on the Arts on the Green Online Silent Auction in advance. Advance registration is not required to participate. We will have volunteers available in the Silent Auction for on-site registration for participants to obtain a bid number. The volunteers will also be able to look up the bid number of someone who pre-registered but forgot their bid number.
